Ideal for laying onto workbenches in places such as laboratories of microelectronic industries or workshops. Suitable to place on ESD workbenches and ESD floor areas where static is controlled. ESD Smooth Matting allows static charges to safely transfer to ground, protecting the surface of static sensitive components from ESD damage during production. Available in dark blue or dark grey, these mats are easy to clean with excellent lay flat properties for a flat work surface. Featuring two-layers, the matting has a static-dissipative surface and a conductive backing. The static-dissipative surface is resistant to abrasion, heat, solders flux, and most commonly used solvents. The black conductive layer provides a superior and consistent ground path to Earth. The material is 2mm thick. Available to order in 1.20 x 10m full rolls. Note: The mat must be connected to Earth via a grounding system for it to work. Personnel can easily be grounded to the mat via the 10mm press stud and Earth point. We recommend using a mild, neutral cleaner free from alkali, ammonia, and restricted RoHS/REACH chemicals. Choose one that leaves no streaks or residue. Bondline supplies Staticide ESD mat and tabletop cleaner suitable for cleaning workstations, tabletops, and anti-static mats, including rubber and vinyl. You should avoid using any cleaner that contains alcohol in its ingredients, as this can dry out the mats, causing them to lose their static fighting abilities. You also shouldn’t use household multipurpose cleaners or any other cleaners not made especially for ESD mats, as they can damage the mat’s surface and compromise electrical properties. These include: IPA wipes, household disinfectants, and antibacterial products.
