The Kaye AVS SIM (Sensor Input Module) is an integral component of the Kaye Validator AVS system, providing a secure and reliable interface for connecting multiple sensors to the validation system. Each SIM module accommodates up to 12 sensor inputs, allowing for flexible configuration based on the specific requirements of the validation process. Designed for versatility, the AVS SIM supports a wide range of sensor types: Thermocouples: Supports various types, including T, J, K, E, B, R, S, and N. 4–20 mA Transducers: Ideal for pressure, humidity, and other process variable measurements. 0–10 V Signals: Suitable for various analog sensors. RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors): Compatible with 100Ω RTDs for precise temperature measurements. Each SIM module is equipped with a memory chip to store calibration offsets, SIM serial number, slot location, and the serial number of the Kaye Validator AVS measurement board on which calibration is performed. This feature ensures traceability and data integrity during validation studies. Multiple SIM modules can be installed in a single Validator AVS system, supporting up to 48 sensor inputs. This scalability makes the AVS SIM suitable for both small-scale and extensive validation projects. The AVS SIM modules are designed for ease of use, featuring quick-connect terminals and robust construction to withstand the rigors of validation environments. They are also compatible with various Kaye temperature calibration baths and dry block calibrators, enhancing the flexibility of the validation system.
